After studying the compounds for a while, Mei began to get dizzy. The little letters were getting hard to concentrate on. After a while, they looked like cartoon characters from a Disney movie. Maybe Snow White and the seven dwarves. She took off her glasses and tried to get rid of the annoying head ache she was getting. Father had told her not to overwork herself but it was hard. She loved doing all the extra work. Like volunteer at a soup kitchen for a few hours on her weekend, help tutor kids, and the only thing she got paid for to do was play piano at this furniture store for two hours straight.
She eyed the room carefully and saw Jake who seemed like he had an easy life. Sometimes she wished she could be just like him and be carefree about his grades though he gets good ones too.
