I'd be to skeptic to use it. free wifi is bad because i could use a simple wifi injector (or just make one) and then i could steal everyones paypal or other evil things and they wouldnt know. But if you go with cable...then the more people on it, the slower it will eventually go. What happens if one idiot decides to download bittorrents? everyone would slow down.
