Subs of course. They're definitely more entertaining, IMO. But, there have been some good dubs.

And plus, the English voice actors don't put nearly enough of themselves into their roles. Their dialogue just sounds awfully monotone and boring, while the Japanese voice actors know what emotions to use and when to use them.

Yeah, authentic.

I agree.
Subs are much better than dubs in my opinion. Especially since some voices don't even match with the characters. Like those girls with really soft quiet voices.

I have this irrational feeling that if I hear a dubbed line of an anime I like, that whole scene will be ruined. I remember this one time when I was watching one part on YouTube and it turned out to be a dub and right when I heard the first English word, I screamed and immediately yanked off my headphones xD

I'm strange =)

I can't stand Dubs! Most dubs at least. If I have watched the dub for a while without watching a sub (Like FMA and Inuyasha on Adult swim, or Pokemon and Sailor Moon) Then I'm used to it, but as soon as I start watching the sub i can't go back.

I mostly prefer subs unless I can only find a dub of it.

Subs > Dubs

I also hate how they change the names in a lot of dubs and i really hate when they really butcher the anime. Like Cardcaptor Sakura. Card Captors was a horrible dub. It cut out at least 30 episodes, mixed stuff around, and totally ruined it. And the 2nd Detective Conan Movie dubbed to the Case Closed. That was very bad too.

subbb

I once watched Naruto, in both English Dub and Subs, oh man did I laugh. I was trying to watch Naruto in English subs and I was getting used to it and enjoying it. Later on I came across some dubs and laughed. I automatically noticed the difference in speech.

>>SUBs are my choice.

For some anime its pending for me. Some anime do a better job. For dbz the sound effects are better for eng dub. But the jap dub is like weak.

I've never really seen a dub do a good job.
With English, a lot of times the dubbed versions have to make the initial dialogue longer so that the mouth will somewhat fit, and it takes away from the movie or show.

Example:
Second InuYasha Movie:
[japanese] Kohaku mentions Aneue, which is a nickname for his sister. He battles with this remembrance the whole time of Naraku's "death".
[english] Kohaku says "MY SISTER SANGO" and really doesn't bother to worry about why he remembered some sort of nickname.

I don't know. SUBS.

:]
