I think this will (probably) be an easy win for Pokemon since Digimon's idea was a bit copied from Pokemon but I do know some hardcore Digimon fans out there (*coughMaggiecough*).

Oh, Rebecca, when I saw this I was like O.O!!!!!
Digimon for the win. Because I liked it so much better. Their adventures and they exploration of human identity (lol). Pokemon just continues to say "we can win if we fight our hardest and best friend blah blah blah." Digimon had struggles and deaths. Of course, I'm talking about Digimon season 1 and 2, but I know that season 3 still had the same qualities. Don't know about season 4, and I definitely hate what they did with season 5. But at least Digimon knew where to cut the seasons. Unlike Pokemon which continued for 8 years with the same characters, different pokemon - didn't they say there was only 200 pokemon? why is there like 800 now? - and they don't know when to stop it while it's still popular. I should probably add a poll but too late :blink:
I remember watching Pokemon because my brothers wanted to and I was babysitting them. No other choice lol But I also remember seeing a couple Digimon episodes too. Had I known when I was in 8th grade that I would meet other Digimon fans here on BR someday, I would've kept collecting the Digivices, trading cards, episodes on tape, digivolving action figures, PSone games, music CD's, etc....
But school peers kept saying, "Oh, that's such a gaaayyy show", so I quit. And here Maggie and Rebecca are, striking a little nostalgia. DIGIMON FTW. HELL YES. Greymon/Metal Greymon - my choice Digimon in "Digimon World" for PSone. Plus, the Version 1 giga pet was... OH GOD, NOSTALGIA, NOSTALGIA, NOSTALGIA. Oh, and Jenny, GET YOUR ASS IN THIS THREAD. NOW. |
