They are different. Rating a thread allows you to give a thread a grade from 1 to 5. The rep system allows members to approve and disapprove members' post. Good reps will add up and bad will eventually go negative and turn red.

I said the same purpose. It basically shows you good and bad.

There still are some bugs so it is still in beta. I believe it has been in testing for a while now, but wasn't released to the public.

It should have taken a lot of time to convert everything to vb.

It is still a beta just as many other things are in a beta state across the internet, such a gmail beta. We are still testing and working out many bugs and adding a lot of new features. We are still a little bit away from blogring version two but we are getting much closer.

About reputations..

How many + reps do you need for the little block to show up as blue? And vice versa [with the - reps]? I have +3 reps, but the block is still gray and reads "Solace. is an unknown quantity at this point". Also, in my CP, it says I have 0 points. How many reps do you need to gain 1 point and to lose 1 point?
