You need 10 reputation to register positive or negative on any scale. In order to alter points, you need a certain amount of blogpoints, which is still being fully implemented. You'll find you can do a lot more with blogpoints, even though the system is changed. I buffed your rep to 13, since mod/admin rep apply 10 rep at a vote. I voted positive because it was a good question. Reputation is much like Karma, and when the system is completel with the point system, you'll find a high "Karma" can protect you from tricky items other members can buy, and then use on you.
