I like simple signatures too :]
Actually, I like mostly everything. LOL. I think that really the only type of banner I don't care much for is grunge banners. Everything else is good with me :]  In the dark of the cold light of day I will still be here If my heart and my soul had their way you would still be here |

Grunge just seems so... not-so-put-together, y'know? Simple signatures are just so clean and refreshing. Too bad I can't make them, ah ha.

I guess I find grunge kind of boring. LOL. It seems like the same thing over & over & over. I find abstract more appealing since it comes out different every time. *shrug*
Simple sigs done well are good =] I just don't like it when people take a premade picture, slap a border & sample text onto it, & put it up for auction in the FS =/ In the dark of the cold light of day I will still be here If my heart and my soul had their way you would still be here |

I may know little about graphics, but I've never done that. I at least add effects or change the coloring, or add a background.

Yeah, I know.

I'm going to sound like a hypocrite but since I don't do anymore weird simple sigs, I'll say that I can't stand them either.
The trends I see now on this forum and others: + pastel colors + lots of saturation + of course overused renders + overlay borders + figure outlines + white filled in objects that is mostly humanlike + pencil marks + um, scnalines and all those patterns have been here like forever lol + light filters and lens flares + the poloroids (I kind of started them actually ><) + sharpening + too much glow on text and borders + using real vectors as renders I'll edit this to include more trends if I see 'em. |
