Who are your favorite authors to read? Why?

Stephen King.. but the more books he comes out with, personally I feel it's like he's almost.. not trying as hard. His earlier works are best.

S.D. Perry, author of seven Resident Evil books. They're amazing.

ORSON SCOTT CARD.

Because he brought Ender and Peter Wiggin to this world. Because he showed us that the Buggers were not evil. Because Wyrms is a masterpiece. Because he showed that there was another way out of anarchy. Because the Worthing Saga is better than The Giver. Because Abner Doon may be called the devil, but he was the one who saw that somec ruined society.

He sounds good, Maggie. Any particular recommendations?

I'd have to add Maggie Furey and Terry Goodkind, both amazing fantasy writers. Not only are their stories amazing, but their characters are deep and real.

Terry Goodkind rocks my socks. I haven't read a lot of his works but I've read a couple when I had the time. lol

Jane Austen is one of my favorites. And Michael Crichton.

Anita Shreve. She writes beautifully, everything she describes seem so real, and they can actually arouse emotions.

How could you describe the colour blue to someone who is blind?

Jane Austen and Ayn Rand are two of my favorite authors.

I don't know how to explain why I like Jane Austen so much, but I like Ayn Rand because her points of view intrigue me. Her books are a good read too =D. The Fountainhead is my favorite from her.
