Stephen King.. but the more books he comes out with, personally I feel it's like he's almost.. not trying as hard. His earlier works are best.

He sounds good, Maggie. Any particular recommendations?
I'd have to add Maggie Furey and Terry Goodkind, both amazing fantasy writers. Not only are their stories amazing, but their characters are deep and real.

Terry Goodkind rocks my socks. I haven't read a lot of his works but I've read a couple when I had the time. lol

Anita Shreve. She writes beautifully, everything she describes seem so real, and they can actually arouse emotions.
 How could you describe the colour blue to someone who is blind?

Jane Austen and Ayn Rand are two of my favorite authors.
I don't know how to explain why I like Jane Austen so much, but I like Ayn Rand because her points of view intrigue me. Her books are a good read too =D. The Fountainhead is my favorite from her. |
