My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I love it.
"If you use one of your children to save the life of another, are you being a good mother or a very bad one?"

How could you describe the colour blue to someone who is blind?

I would recommend Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut.
AMAZING book.
I just finished it today.

Ahh, I read that in junior year. Very nice book, indeed =]

I was going to read Cat's Cradle, but my friend ended up continually forgetting to bring it for me, and eventually forgot it all together.

What Happened to Lani Garver by Carol Plum-Ucci is a nice long read, and it's almost guaranteed to make you cry. It's just amazing.

// Oh, Blogring. Rest in peace.

I just finished Broken Chords by Barbara Gilbert.
It's about music, so unless you're not interested in music, I wouldn't read it. I mean, it would just be a bore with all the music descriptions and whatever. But it's centered about a girl named Clara whose parents have given up everything so she can be with the best piano teacher. And her boyfriend music prodigy loves her because she is a pianist. So how does she drop the bomb that she wants to quit because she has no passion for music?

Honestly, I liked this book because I know I have felt like quitting piano before, but ya know, I'm not like Clara. So, yeah, I was sort of comparing myself to Clara because there were things alike and unlike about the two of us. She knows she wanted to quit, but I don't know.

So personally, I would recommend it to music players.

The Stranger by Camus. I have to read it for IB lit, but it's by far one of the best books I've read in a long time.

But I thought she said maple leaves..

You know how you guys always talk about Chinese Cinderella?

After googling it and stuff, I realized I read it when I was in like 4th grade. Cause one time, my sister brought home a book and I just sat on her bed reading it for like four hours or something like that. I didn't know that was Chinese Cinderella.

But anyway, yeah, I recommend Chinese Cinderella.

The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck.

The movie is also good, but the book is REALLY interesting, and though it may take up a lot of time, or be a bit boring at first, it's really worth it.

It takes place back around the Dust Bowl era, and portrays how the migrant workers and farmers were victimized by the economic corruptions of the Stock Market Crash. I just finished reading it for my English 12 class... pretty good read.

I haven't finished it yet. (I'm still stuck at the first campell!) But I really like that quote, it just make me think about all the unjust things occuring in this world.

perfection is God's business

I like "Lovely Bones." I can't remember who it is written by, though. But it is a really good book.

It's about a girl who is raped. She watches her family and the rapist from heaven and stuff.
