Ooh, A Child Called It. The author of that, Dave Pelzer, was at my college student center the other day a couple weeks ago. He was going to give a lecture or something. I really wanted to go but I had an important bio review class at the same darn time and I couldn't go

Let's see...

East of Eden by John Steinbeck - it has the most amazing antagonist in it I've ever heard of.

The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis - I know they are aimed at a younger crowd, but I love them.

The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis - It is about a head demon writing letters to his nefew (who is also a demon). The head demon is giving his nefew advice on how to influence a human into sinning. Its sooo twisted. Its great.

This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti - This is Christian author and this book is genuinely creepy. Its about these people and their story, but at the same time it is about the battle between the angels and the demons and they way he describes the demons is SO freaky. *shivers*

Follow The River by James Thom. It's based on a true story of a woman who got captured by Indians and brought to their camp, and later walked all the way back to her village. It's such a great and descriptive book.

Gone with the wind- wow. If you havent read it, go read it! It IS super long but it's SUCH a good book.

The Clan of the Cave bear by Jean Auel. It's a series and it's REALLY good. It's about a little girl who got separated from her family and was found by a clan, who eventually raised her.

The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. It's a Christian-y book, if I remember correctly....it's been a while since I read this one. But it's an excellent book.

There are so many more I'd like to recommend, I'll be back with more.

I recommend Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. It's a love story of vampires. The dialog can be a bit corny at times, but it's an overall very good book. A ton of my friends were reading it, so I just had to go read it to find out what's going on. It also has a sequel, New Moon, and I plan on reading that one soon.

I'd also recommend Lion's Blood, by Stephen Barnes. It's an alternate history book where America was colonized by the blacks who used whites as their slaves. It tells the tale of a particular slave and his life. I read it last year, actually, but I'm just planning to read its sequel, Zulu Heart.

^ooo yes Twilight is an excellent book, I didnt think I'd like it, but I LOVED it and the sequel is just as good.

some more of my own...

House by Frank Peretti. It's a Christian based book about a house that's supposedly haunted. four couples get stuck inside the house, believing that there's a killer named White after them. But the plot line is so unpredictable and so good, you'll never guess the ending. It's a great book and makes you think.

Winkie by Clifford Chase. This one's kinda odd but it makes you think too. It's about a teddy bear that's not normal, this bear can talk and move on its own. It's went through a number of owners who didnt really show much love and care for it, and it ends up in an isolated cabin in the woods. It ends up arrested and falsely charged with having made bombs and murdered people. I myself was confused on its gender, so you can figure it out- and it's trial is just so weird and kinda confusing, but if you read it over you'll get it.

She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb. It's about a girl who becomes very overweight in her teens, and she's not aware of it until one day, she goes to see her doctor for a routine checkup and he tells her she's fat. But she hasn't been raised in a healthy environment, and so she meets a psychologist(I think...) and he helps her lose the weight.

Acceleration by Graham McNamee. A guy works at a..Lost and Found center, kind of. And one day he sees what looks like a diary inside one of the boxes. He gets curious and looks through it, and he finds out that it's a serial killer's diary. It tells about his victims, some already dead, and some he hasn't gotten yet. The guy grows determined to stop the killer and reads the diary to try and find the killer.

3 facts in my life.

everything happens for a reason.

everything always works out fine in the end.

I have few friends, but they're truly the most unbelievably incredible people I could've ever asked for. I don't deserve them. they're the best.

If you like shopping or just want to read a great book about a shopaholic, then I recommend you read "Confessions of a Shopaholic" by Sophie Kinsella.

Keeping Faith by Jodi Picoult.
Not as good as My Sister's Keeper (in my opinion), but still an amazing book. Just go check out all of the books by Jodi Picoult. Great author.

How could you describe the colour blue to someone who is blind?
