Last Book You Read

Hm, there's a "last movie you saw" thread, so why not last book? Cause it's sort of like you want to talk about the last book you read, but you don't want to put it in the Recommended thread, cause you don't recommend it. And etc.

So, the last book I read was Make Lemonade by Virginia Wolfe. And I left it in English class and I bet someone's going to steal it. Hmph, and it was a new book too! I hate it when I lose one of my OWN books, cause I don't usually get my OWN books, I usually borrow from the library.

Hmm, last book I read? Fantasies of Flight by Daniel Ogilvie. Granted, it's a book for my personality psych class but I thought it was really interesting since two of his case studies were about J.M.Barrie (creator of Peter Pan) and Perry Smith (one of the killers in In Cold Blood).

Forever in Blue by Ann Brashares
OMG, I READ IT IN THREE HOURS YESTERDAY. :] IT WAS THE BEST BOOK EVER, EVER, SERIOUSLY. THE FOUR SISTERHOOD BOOKS ARE THE BEST BOOKS EVER. First, read the first three, and then read this book. Forever in Blue made me laugh out loud and it was the FIRST BOOK EVER to make me cry. I don't think a book ever made me cry, I mean, sure, books have made me like want to cry and feel really sad, I guess. But no book has ever made me cry except this one. :] It's sort of sad there are going to be no more Sisterhood books. :[ No more books that are page-turners, but it's not because it's crappy writing and it's for entertainment, it's actually an entertaining book that also has a deeper meaning.

i miss blogring.

A Wedding in December by Anita Shreve.
The last 1/5 was the best part.

How could you describe the colour blue to someone who is blind?

Rhymes with Witches by Lauren Myracle
Okay, this is the stupidest book in the whole entire world. :] Rhymes with witches, oh yeah, I'm going to write a book report on bitches. No, I'm not going to even bother writing a book report. It took me like thirty minutes to read it ... and yet, it took my friend five months. Goodness gracious, and she thought it was awesome. I love her to death, but yeah, it sucked. :] It was like Mean Girls, except stupider and with the worse storyline and moral.

The Taker by J.M. Steele. It's about a senior named Carly Biels who tanks the SATs. Soon after getting her scores, she receives a text from a person called the Taker, who says he will retake the SATs for her and get a score within 150 points of perfect, but for a price. She agrees and tries not to think of what will happen if she's caught, but she also takes tutoring with a nerd called Ronald Gross (rhymes with "floss") so it won't look suspicious when her score goes up by so much. To make things worse, one of her best friends Jen is conducting a huge investigation on who the Taker is and who he has helped.

It's a really good and interesting story and the ending is ADORABLE. I totally predicted the Taker's identity AND his motives correctly. xDD

A Certain Slant of Light. it was better than I expected it to be...it made me tear up just a little bit. =) but it's a really really good book!

3 facts in my life.

everything happens for a reason.

everything always works out fine in the end.

I have few friends, but they're truly the most unbelievably incredible people I could've ever asked for. I don't deserve them. they're the best.

Yeah, it made me tear/cry too. I love it when that happens, odd as it sounds.

An Abundance of Katherines. It's really interesting and I love reading Hassan and Colin's banter.

'The Traveller' by John Twelve Hawks.

Read it. Then read his note at the end of the book. The technology that we use in our world today is absolutely incredible. It's a fiction novel. Very good.

Hello again BR
