Do you believe in God?

Flagella aren't neccesary to living, we don't have them (although we have feet), bacteria w/out any propeller of any sort can live, the bacteria will just have to come to them, falgella just give these certain bacteria an advantage because they can move around:

Ex:
A wide receiver in football can just stand there and the ball may come to him, but the corner back who can run has the ability to run over and snatch the ball (food) before it gets to the WR (podless bacteria)

I usually avoid topics such as these because it's a matter of personal beliefs. You can't force me to believe something just because you think it's right.

With that said, to answer the original question this topics asks, no, I don't believe in God. I used to think I did when I was younger, simply because it was etched into my head that this was what you had to believe. And for the most part, I do believe that many Christians are only Christians because it's what they know, all that they've been taught since they were children. Once I actually stopped and thought about it, I had no reason to believe it was true. Nothing really to debate over, but I've answered the topic's question.

I completely agree.

For me, it's not so much about whether or not someone believes in God, but rather, that they have sound reasoning for either choice. Being an atheist doesn't make anyone any more correct than a fundamentalist Christian if they choose their path for the wrong reasons, just as I feel that many people are Christian for the wrong reasons.

I don't know if I believe in God or not. Sometimes I think there is some sort of higher being but I'm not sure if it's God.

I also do agree with what Vampire Candy said. Many things that are unexplainable can probably be explained if we did have the complete knowledge of the universe, however I don't know if that is possible.

There are also things in religions other than Christianity I have seen or heard of but I cannot explain and I don't think can be explained scientifically, but then there's the possibility that it can be. I don't know.
