Screamo: Is it Music?

Personally, I really don't like screamo music or any screaming in songs.. but if its for only a few seconds, why not. Screaming is screaming, that's all there is to it. My brother says theres instruments playing in the background so thats how its music.. but to me its nonsense.

So what do you guys think?

No comment on 'screamo', but in metal, they scream. It's music. (Best music there is)

I dont like screamo either. But it is music. Most screamo songs dont ONLY scream. as a rule there is some singing. Rap on the other hand..well lets jsut sya i dont consider that music

Personally, I have a rather strong dislike towards ""screamo". But technically, it is music.-

1.an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color.
2.any sweet, pleasing, or harmonious sounds or sound

It meets the criteria of definition one, and as for definition two, what sounds pleasing is entirely your own opinion.


And rap, today's rap I'll admit doesn't have much to say, but it is music.
