Brainless Sheeple

Aside from myself, there's no debate in here. One, three posts, every couple months. And the most recent posts are devoid of intelligent thought or structure.

Why can everyone on BR waste their day away posting in the "What Are You Wearing", "Rate The signature Above Yours" and "Anonymous Shout Outs" threads, which require very little brainpower or activity, but can't take five minutes to read something that makes them THINK?

Discuss.

I guess right now, in some people's lives, controversial issues don't affect them THAT much, and debating isn't in one of their interests.

Just because you're not much of a debater, or just because you don't prefer to spend time in a debating section of this forum, doesn't mean you have no brainpower.

People aren't wasting their time in those sections - right now, people are just trying to lighten the mood, have a little fun, and I'm sure that in offline life, they're THINKING about other things.

Because I quit posting in the debate section because every time I did, someone got their feelings hurt and cried about it.

I actually read a great deal of material here, it's merely a matter of whether or not I feel like slugging it out with someone in an endless cycle of rhetorical banter that slowly degenerates into nonsense as the 2nd party is pounded into the floor.

People are far too politically correct these days -- or just misinformed regarding the issues.

But either way, bring on the debate, I've never really shrank from one, have I?

I guess it's because of the fact that they have to sit there and write more than a paragraph or it's because of the fact that they have to think and use their brainpower that they don't think its necessary.
