Is Breastfeeding in Public Appropriate?

I think that breastfeeding in public is completely okay when done discreetly and sometimes it is necessary (if you don't give your baby bottles.). A lot of people make a fuss about how it is inappropriate and rude- but my thing is, breastfeeding is what breasts were made for; they were not meant to be sexual objects so why do we have to hide something that is completely normal and natural?
