FFIX wasn't bad. I bet you're one of those people who only like the series because of the characters and only the character, like those people who know nothing about FFVIII except for Squall and Rinoa.

Wrong. It was a revolutionary turn in 3D RPG with a brill storyline. FFIX was not overrated. It fared less than FFVIII.

FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus is going to suck. If Squenix wanted to make more money off of the franchise, they should have rebuffed FFVII.

You are so CORRECT. I do think that more females play FFx-2 I myself am one. Im so excited about FF Advent Cildren comming out, I mean why wouldn't Square Enix want to make a movie out of FF7 it's the best follow by FFX.
Though FF7ac was enough they didn't have to make two other games for it!
This was probally what Square was think:
"Well since FF7 was so sucessful why don't we make two other prequal out of it, I see...MONEY... MONEY... MONEY"

I definitely won't buy those 2 games. Sequels don't tend to live up to the original; the moment I saw the first ads of FFX-2 with Yuna and Rikku in those skanky outfits my mind said "Uh-oh..." and I didn't bother to buy that game. I did rent it, though, and it was probably the worst game in the whole series.

My favorite is FFVII, followed by FFIX. Some people don't like FFIX because the characters weren't as realistic and pretty as the characters in other FF games, but I liked the change. I'm not saying that I don't like all the gorgeous characters in other FF games, but pretty people really isn't an essential part of the formula to make a good game.

FF7 and FF8 is best FF game ever.. Rikku in FFX and FFX-2 is sexiest girl. Coolest character is Sephiroth.

FFVII:AC isn't a game; it's a 70-minute collection of clips set to bridge the gap between FFVII and FFVIIoC.

People just didn't appreciate the return to the original crystal and job class features of the original FF series (although FFIX didn't necessarily have interchangeable job classes.)

I don't really like to base my opinion on graphics, I like to base it on the plot, i fi based it on graphics, every new FF would be my favorite...well final fantasy vii is my favorite, has a good drop of romance and well enough action, they are making a movie called final fantasy vii: advent children, I don't really know what it's about but they have a website with tons of information on it, they used to have clips and pictures but squaresoft declared it forbidden to show them anymore

:angry: i was like half-fuming at that comment. i count myself as a hardcore gamer. if you asked me what games i play, i'd give you a list of about 800 of them. and i've played all the FF games except FFX and up b/c i don't have a ps2. i didn't like 7 that much. i liked 9 and 8. and out of the old ones, i think 2 (or 4 in japan) was better than 3 (or 6)
