Should I be friends first?

There's this guy that I like. We go to the same school, but we don't have any classes together. We saw each other at the school's gym and he friended me on Facebook. We talk online and recently have seen each other more at the gym. I wanna ask him out, but should I be friends with him first? We've only known each other for a few months.

i would start out as friends. so when you do ask him out and he does go out with you and if you break up you can still stay friends.

I would definitely start out as friends so you can get to kno about him more and see where his feelings goes towards you. Like if he only sees you as a friend or something more.

It all depends on the situation. Sometimes if you start off as friends, he might like someone else and sometimes, if you don't start off as friends, you won't get a chance to let him know you.

I would take a gamble and go with being friends with him first, but make sure that you don't mention anything about any other girls or bring other girls into his attention because sometimes being friends with a guy doesn't make them want to date you. They probably want some insights on how girls think and they just want to opinions from a girl and that person can be you but be his friend first.

Usually friends first is the better choice. that way you would both get a little taste of what you two are like when you're together, and if he did encounter girlfriends and such, you could see how he acts towards them and if he would be a good potential boyfriend

i vote for friends first...get to know him before you jump in once you get to know him he may not be whom you think he is....you want to see if he wants to take you out and stuff like that before committing
