I do know the difference. Although there are some funky rules to different forms of it..

hehe, Grace I love how you posted this. But, yes, I know the difference. A few years ago, someone would try to explain it to me and I would look at them like they were crazy. Occasionally when I'm writing, it'll trip me up for a second, but I go back and correct it.

Of course! Given my tendency to be a complete bitch when it comes to grammatical errors, it'd be really hypocritical to be unsure myself.

yup. i used to just use "effect" and totally disregard "affect" but in my dictionary, there's a section about words people often confuse, so I've known ever since.
