It's sometimes easy to make sentences, or a story, or a poem. Anything to help me remember something. If I can't spell something, I'd look it up, then try to remember how to spell it.
I had a class in 7th grade called Study Skills and the old lady that taught us about pneumonic devices and stuff. I'm not sure if that's how you spell it...As you can see, I really didn't pay attention in class much, but we learned like acronyms and stuff.

It's spelled mnemonic =). (Spelling was my favorite subject in elementary obviously).

I like using little jokes or something funny to remember things. That's what I found helps me.

I'm a Latin II student at my high school, and derivitives help you alot. You need to find an English word that sounds just like it, and that's usually the key. Just kind of brainstorm if your taking a test, and can't remember what the word means. Also, listen to tapes of people speaking fluent Latin..it's actually got an Italian accent, and sounds weird. Helps to understand the words.

Are you sure? Because I know tagalog too and my parents say lamesa for table. Hehe, well whatever. Sapatos, coche, those are the same too.

Red face

The spelling is a little different from Spanish words since there's no articles ["la" or "el"] in Tagalog. Also there's some letters in the alphabet that is not the same for both languages, so "coche" would be car in Spanish but it would be spelled "kotse" in Tagalog. "Sapatos" is the same for both. Just to clear things up, you can say "lamesa" and "mesa" for table in Tagalog.

So, just wondering, when it comes to learning languages at school, do you have any tricks in general that you use? Tips?* To memorize and stuff.* Also if any of you happen to take Latin, do you have any specific tricks or tips for any of the laws and words and such that help you remember them?* I mean I'm a great crammer, but I need a way for the information to stick in languages.* I can learn 24 words in 2 minutes flat but then I'll forget it as soon as class is over.* And so I need a way to change that...
I wanted to know if anyone one has taken spanish and french at the same time and didnt get them mixed up!!........ so if u could answer that would be great thanx for the help
