Bring white-out that's a tape (not liquid) if you're using a pen.

Oh wow, essay huh? That sucks! I'm gonna do even worse now. I took a practice test last year and got like 1250 but now I'm gonna do really bad if there is an essay.

2400? So each portion is worth 1200 now? Whoa...where have I been?
yeah, where have you been?
the NEW writing section is scored on a scale of 200-800. so are the math and critical reading sections. therefore, the compsite score on the new test would be 600-2400. get it?
oh and for everyone freaking out bout the eesays, one thing. if they ask you about a life experience and you don't have anything interesting then Oxymoron[/b]

also, when you write. put in make believe quotes. make the quote by some old dead guy that has a name. like William Abbey (i personally don't know anyone by that name.) it sounds like he said it. fit the name around the quote and give them an occupation. like this: as William Abbey, a british chemist, once said "blah, blah, blah...." hope it helped.

ugh, i hate how they changed the SATs. if you graduate in 2006 (which is the finest class, by the way) or higher and take the "old" one, it doesn't count. i had no intentions of taking the PSAT this year, since i'd taken it in my freshman and sophomore year, but since they're taking away parts that i did really well on (analogies) and adding something that i SUCK at (essays)... let's just say it's not pretty.
but i'm really good in math, so i'll do pretty good on that.

by the way, i'm glad i don't live in cali.
but then again, i live in florida, and i'm so sick of the FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test) that i could scream. you take it in 10th grade, but if you don't pass it by your senior year, you don't graduate. i'm so glad that i don't have that problem.

A little shameless plug never hurts: Mella (my xanga)

If quitters never win, and winners never quit, who came up with the phrase Quit while you're ahead?

I took a practice SAT last Saturday. For the essay, you only get 25 minutes to write, which isn't a lot of time.

yeah, BIG change
now they changed it to 2400 points, which even though we will get a higher score, it will still be harder for us.
i dunno why they wanted to make it so hard, i think math and reading is enough, what's writing gonna do?
I mean if we do well on the math and reading, than it would prove that we are good at writing; just dont get them.........blah
