The SAT's - the big change

What do all of you guys actually think about College Board changing the SAT's? If anyone else reading this lives in California, then you will know what I mean when I say that they are changing all the tests to begin for class of 2006. The CAHSEE, (California High School Exit Exams), didn't start being a requirement to graduate from high school until this past year, aka, for the class of 2006. Now there is this newer, more recently updated version of the SAT, which is going to be taken by students beginning with the class of 2006. What do you all think about this? I think it's alright, I just don't know why they are having it alll start for the class of 2006.

So much stuff are changing here in Cali for people around year 2007 and after (like the one where you have to be 15 1/2 to get your permit) Anyways, aren't they adding more reading and language stuff now so that supposed females can do better and be closer to males? (or something like that)

took the exit exam last year it was realli easy and gonna hav to take the new SATs soon =/

I have to take that new SAT/PSAT (Class of '06, baby!) It doesn't look that bad though. All there is is:
Math-No more Quantitative Comparisons and more Alg. 2
English-No more analogies, long and short reading passages (instead of just long ones)
I have to take PSAT prep the first 9 weeks of this year, so if anyones got ne questions, just ask!

i hate the english changes..analogies rule...i mean, i got all of them right when i practiced! for math it's not that big of a deal though because i took algebra 2 sophomore year...i just feel sorry for anyone who takes it later haha

I'm taking the SATs late in my sophmore year...-_- i already have the test booklets and did most of the practices in my summer class ^_^ So I'm pretty prepared..AND they changed the scoring from 1600 to 2400!!! @_@

2400? So each portion is worth 1200 now? Whoa...where have I been?

I hate analogies, I'm glad they took those out, but I also hate reading so that doesn't do me any good lol Math is fine. I'm done with Algebra 2, I just need to make sure I remember everything.

I'm not sure when I'm taking the SATs, I've taken some practice ones already at my school...

sorry to double post (plz dont warn me! lol):
they did change the top score to 2400, because they r adding an essay :unsure: sry that i left that out! (thanks for reminding me messedupnobody!! i dont have that class till school starts thursday, so i havent heard all the changes since the beginning of summer)...i do kno that we only have like 20-25 minutes to write the essay....and im freaking out lol. i cant write 2 PARAGRAPHS in 25 minutes, let alone an essay that makes sense. neone got ne advice?
