For those people who took the SHSAT and made it in..how were you able to get in? any tips you wanna give me before i take it next year?see..i took tutoring classes for it but i never really got the gist of it. i mean its hard to pass its like you're learning another language..even if you never took the SHSAT, did you ever take a test you thought was hard and was able to pass? how did you do it?
hope i made myself clear

i took that test in 2005. i was just a few points away from getting into stuyvesant and i could have gotten into brooklyn tech, i just didn't apply.
my best advice to give you is not to worry. study, but don't study too much. pressuring yourself with an insane amount of studing is just as bad as not studying at all.
just remember that it's just one test and one test can never entirely change your life.
good luck with the test

it wasn't that hard, so don't worry about it.

the barnes and noble book for the shsat is good too. some questions on my shsat (fall 2005) test came exactly from there but with different numbers.

i don't know if you're still going to check this because I'm posting quite late
