What is your stand on Apple Corporations? The main subject of debate in this topic will be iPods. Are they really worth the money?

In addition to just iPods. what is your general outlook toward Apple Corporations? Do you like the simplicity of their electronics?

Discuss.

I do like the simplicity of their electronics. More importantly, their simplicity and trendy designs really seem to be able to crack the mainstream.

The trick with them is they have to keep innovating to stay on top. There are so many other companies coming up with mp3 players that are every bit as good, if not better. Having so many people know their name because of the iPOD certainly doesn't hurt though.

We were talking about publicity today in my marketing class, and my teacher was mentioning how Apple has one of the most "good" publicity, especially when compared to Microsoft, which has really bad publicity (even though 95% of users prefer using Windows).

pple is a user friendly corporation because it has its own store in which you can ask people who specialize not only in the hardware but also in the software. You dont see a Windows Store or a Linux Store out there with people just waiting to seel you their programs and answer all your questions. Also Apple has a no pressure policy, you just come to them and ask them what you want to know. The way their sotres are architecturally designed also helps with its very somplistic light mood, somehow gets the message across to the customer to say "touch me".

Everyone knows that the Apple Corporation has been stagnant before the addition of the iPod. Ever since the addition of the iPod, the stocks have been soaring in the market. In fact only recently has the iPod had a small sliump in sales but that may be due to the fact that the rumors of a new iPod were close. But what baout their computers? Well the iPod has also helped sales in that as well

When people purchase their ipods, they cant help but notice the simplicity and ease in its use and wonder if other Apple products follow the same fashion, and thats what drives them to discover Macs more. Macs in themselves are now seeing a boost in sales also thanks to the incorpration of the Intel chip which only makes the Macs run even smoother and make it possible for a chance that it may also become Windows compatible meaning you can have MacOSX running on the same system as Windows. The interface of the Macs itself is amazing in its simplicity and rereshing glow that it has that just make you say OOO and ahhhhhhh at some points, not to mention they huge screens they have available with kick butt resolution. All apple has to do now is stay ahead of the game by being innovative and innovation is what they seem to specialize in.

The only reason mac can now run on a PC computer is because they switched Processors. Thats the only reason.

"You dont see a Windows Store or a Linux Store out there with people just waiting to seel you their programs and answer all your questions."

Linux store? they have those? Sweet!!
There arnt special "Linux" stores. It's an online thing. every now and then a store carries a distro. But for linux, everyone is shareing programs and people who know information share it with those needing.

With mac though, i cant help but feel like they think im an idiot. Its simplicity and restraints make it seem like "silly user, just do this and it will allllll be good".

I also love how Apple advertises "Macs dont get viruses". This makes you think they have superior firewalls and antivirus. The Truth? No one cares about macs enough to make viruses for them.

I dont like apple, but i have to give them credit. They are improving. If you looked at any mac product like...2-3 years ago, it would just be sh_t. Plain and simple sh_t.

You've got it backwards. It should be: "The only reason Windows can now run on a Mac is that they switched processors." Mac on a Windows machine? That's blasphemy; OSX would probably refuse to install itself onto one.

Macs really are easy to use. Though, if I did have one complaint, it'd be not being able to rename multiple files at once.

Wrong. If you study a Mac machine's shell architecture, you'll notice a lot of differences from a Windows system's shell.
