about using CD's i've burned

Here's my situation:
I burned a video file onto a CD-R disc on my Windows XP. I was going to try to copy it onto my old computer, which has Windows 95. However, when I put in the CD, the drive says there's no disc inserted. Has anyone ever come across that problem? If so, is there any way to fix it?

95 might now be modern enough to be able to read CD-R. Also, on a computer that old, the drive might be dead. Have you tried other CDs?

The pencil has nothing to do with it.

Where did you get the CD from?

Control.
It's extraordinary the tactics people employ to obtain it.
Some rely on deception.
While others engage in outright trickery.
Then there are those who resort to extortion.
Why do we fight so hard for control?
Because we know to lose it is to put our fate in the hands of others.
And what could be more dangerous?
