This tutorial is to help people who don't know how to take a picture and have a black and white background with a subject in color.
Alright here we go.

1. Get a picture. I chose a flower picture I found on google.

2. Right click-> copy

3. Go to edit-> paste->paste as new image

4. You should have two separate, identical images.

5. Pick one to be the black and white picture.

6. Go to colors->greyscale.

7. Right click the black and white picture, copy.

8. Go to the colored picture. Right click->paste->paste as new layer

9. It should look all black and white now. It isn't. Chose which part you want colored. I chose the top flower.

10. Use the eraser to erase the part you want colored, exposing the color underneath. For the edges, you can zoom in a bunch, and use a small eraser size. Ctrl-Z is your friend, when you go too far.

11. Voila!

Hmm. A pretty good tutorial for colorization.
It could be a little clearer, but, for those who don't know how, this is an okay tutorial.
