This is a tutorial for getting the same result as seen in the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] by p0ke. m3e but, in PSP.

1.) Open a new image.
2.) Select a black and white gradient and select an area with the freehand selection tool.
3.) Fill the are with the gradient and keep repeating this proces with different forms of the gradient (repeated, circular, angled, etc. til you have something like this-

4.) 'Effects> Texture Effects> Straw Wall' with these approximate settings-

5.) 'Adjust> Blur> Radial Blur with these approximate settings-

if desired, you can repeat this step.

6.) Now on the layers pallete, right click the background layer and duplicate it.
7.) 'Effects> Distortion Effects> Polar Coordinates and select 'Polar to Rectangular'
8.) On the layers pallete, select the second layer and set it's blend mode to 'Lighten'

9.) Now you can either stop and finish it now, or continue by duplicating the background layer again, and go to 'Effects> Distortion Effects> Polar Coordinates' and selecting 'Recangluar to Polar' then set the layer's blend mode to lighten.

after you finish getting the actual abstract done, you can change it's color by creating a new raster layer and setting it's blend mode to 'Overlay'. Make sure this layer is on top. if it isn't, just click on it on the layer pallete and drag to the top. Fill this layer with whatever color or gradient you want. Merge layers. your final result should be like this-
