Today we're going to be learning how to make the glittery snow effect!
01. Ok so we're going to start off by opening up PSP and a new image.
I'm going to use Ayumi Hamasaki because it'll go really well with the end effect.
02. Now create a new raster layer on the layers palette on the left.
03. Click on the brush tool

, and find a brush that suits you. i have chosen one of my older brushes that is conviently called "stardust". You can make the color white or black, depending on how bright/light your image is. if your image is dark, use white and if it is light you can use black, but it's completely up to you. Now use your brush. Here's what i have so far.
You can also use the eraser tool to clear up some areas that don't look as nice.
04. Duplicate the layer 2 more times. you should have something like this:
Charming isn't it? We're not done just yet.
05. Select your top-most layer on the layers palette, which is labeled "Copy (2) of Raster layer".
Go to Adjust>Blur>Motion Blur
06. When the motion blur menu pops up, Set angle to 90 and strength to 100% and click "ok"
07. Now select the layer under the top-most [which is labeled "copy of raster layer"]. Again, go to Adjust>blur>Motion Blur, but this time set the angle to 30 [leave the strength to 100%].
Here's mine so far.
08. You can play with the blend mode on the layers palette now [click "normal" on the layers palette to change them]. For my top-most layer i chose "Overlay", the layer under that is "Dodge" and the bottom is "Hard Light". It varies for the image, and the results are very unpredictable. But enjoy everyone and here's my final image.
