You know how when something has been out in the sun for a very long time and it looks faded and changes color? This is how you do that.
Step 1: Open the picture you are going to use. I used this -
Step 2: Duplicate the image by pressing the button on the Layers Palette.
Step 3: Go to (Effects -> Illumination Effects -> Sunburst and insert these variables.
Step 4: Go to (Adjust -> Blur -> Gaussain Blur) and input 3.
Step 5: On the Layers Palette change the opactiy of "Copy of Background and the blend mode. I used "Hard Light". Now I have this -
Step 6: Go select the "Preset Shape Tool on the left side, amke sure it is set on square and that the background is change to the "Metallic Gold 02" gradient.
Step 6: Draw the square over your image and go back to the Layers Palette and change the opacity and belnd mood like in step 5. I chose Color (Legacy) this time.
Step 7: (This step just makes the "sun" a little for visible and and a little more light on the face. It isn't always necessary. Repeat step 2 through 5. Now I have this -
