Uses: Giving an image Comic Book but still somewhat realist feel.

Step 1: Begins by opening a new image. I'm going to use this picture of Christian Bale -

Step 2: Click (Duplicate Layer) on the Layer Palette

Step 3: On the toolbar click (Adjust -> Brightness and Contrast -> Threshold)

Step 4: Adjust the threshold until it is how you like it (it is different with ever image) and click OK.

Step 5: On the layers palette select (Background)

Step 6: After you select background click (Image -> Greyscale)

Step 7: Go back and click (Copy of Background) on the layers palette. You can adjust the opacity by moving the slider to the right of it. You can also change the opacity of specific parts on the picture by clicking the (Show All) button (but you would have to copy one image and "Paste as New Layer" over the background image) on the layers palette and using the paintbrush.

Step 8: Click [Layers -> Merge -> Merge All (Flatten)] You will end up with something like this -
