Title : Mosaic [Pixelized] Effect for Adobe Photoshop
By : x Mo0 [Maggie]
For : Adobe Photoshop 5+ [estimated]
Difficulty : 1.5/10

This is a very simple tutorial on how to make an image have the mosaic [aka pixelized] effect. It`s best if you use an image with a lot of different colors. I`ll be using this image as an example :

Open up Adobe Photoshop. Open your image.

Select All ( CTRL + A or Edit >> Select All ), Copy ( CTRL + C or Edit >> Copy ). Deselect ( Right Click >> Deselect )

Go to Filter >> Mosaic

This window will pop up:

Choose a number for the cell size. The greater the number, the bigger the squares. I recommend medium-sized ones (around 20-40). Click OK when you`re done.

Now paste ( CTRL + V or Edit >> Paste )

Go to your layers palette. Select the second layer (the non-pixelized one) and click on Opacity on the Layers Palette.

Now change the Opacity of the second layer. I recommend 50. Then flatten your image ( Layers >> Flatten Image )

Here`s how it`ll look like :

Add on whatever you want, and your done :] All you need to do is add onto it. Here`s my finished product:

It`s so pretty!

For a fuller look, sharpen the mosaic layer twice (filter >> sharpen >> sharpen) before changing the blend mode =)
