Info: Can be used with one of more images.

For this tutorial I am only going to use two images -

Step 1: Begin by opening the images you plan to use for your blend and resize them to about the size you want to use for your blend.

Step 2: Open a blank file (File -> New)

Step 3: Copy your first image and paste it as a layer onto the blank template either by pressing (Edit -> Paste -> Paste as New Layer) or by pressing (Ctrl + L)

Step 4: Place the image where you want by clicking the Move Tool and moving the image. Where the Move Tool is.

Step 5: Copy your second image and place it as a new layer on the "blank template" and move it so it is overlapping the first picture.

Step 6: Go to (Layers -> New Mask Layer -> Show All) or if you have the layer palette visible you can simply click this ->

Your materials palette should have gone from color to black and white -

to

Step 7: Select the paint brush tool. Make sure the shape you have choosen is the circle and that the hardness is set to 0 and the opacity is at 100. Also size depends on how large your image is. For this blend I used 80.

Step 8: On your color palette select black.

Step 9: Color over where you do not want to see the image.

Step 10: Click [Layers -> Merge -> Merge All (Flatten)]. After that you can crop and edit. (You can also edit before blending).

And you finshed product would look like this -

Yes, but this way you can concentrate on certain areas and it looks like they are all one. Like in how arms and stuff don't blend into eachother like they do when feathering. You can really tell the difference.

you have to make sure you're doing two at a time... like do the first two pictures together and then start over with the third, using the first two as one of your images... does that make sense?
