This tutorial will teach you how to shine an object or text in PS and Imageready

In Photoshop
1. Open up your sig do not add the object that you want to shine yet.

If you want text to shine the add your text layer make sure it has no layer style then move on to step 4.
If you just want to make an object shinie move on to step 2.

2. make a new layer layer>>new>>layer

3. Add the object that you want to shine on the new layer you just made. and sure it's black and that it has no layer style.

4. make another layer.

5. Hit ctrl+d to reset your colors.

6. Select your Gradient tool and at the top put the mode as "Reflection" and select the black to white graident.

7. Now on the new layer you just created drag the gradient tool on your sig like this:

8. Hit ctrl+U and check the Colorize box to colorize your shine glow.

9. Hit ctrl+G to creat a clipping mask then change the blend mode from normal to Lighten in the layer pallette then Shift+ctrl+m or go to file>>edit in imageready.

Go to Window>>Animation if you don't see your animation box.

10. make one more frame:

11. On the first frame and layer pallette select the black looking gradient layer.
Grab the move tool and move it all the way to the left so that you can't see the white shine anymroe.

12. On the second frame move the black looking gradient layer all the way to the right so that you can't see it anymore.
