Hey y'all, well i noticed that a few photoshop tutorials on here lately and a lot have to deal with selecting (by use of magic wand, or lasso tool). Well here is a little tip in order to help your selections be MUCH more accurate! It is called
Editing Quick Mask Mode !
here is an example:
here i selected the flower with the magic wand tool, if you notice there are some spots in which i want to be selected, unselected.
then click the quick mask mode tool, the one on the right
the part that is not on the inside of the selection (or the background) is in red. You can then use the eraser tool to erase the redness, causing more to be within your selection. also you can click the 2-sided arrow by the foreward and background swatches to switch the too. then the eraser will turn whichever you click red, causeing it to be in the background.
now, click the opposite quick mask tool -- making the redness go away. if that is the selection you want, you are ready to go! if not just press Shift + Ctrl + I! to select the inverse! hope this works! it helps me A LOT!!!
btw: sorry if the forum is stretched, for some reason the pics arent showing up as small as they really are!
