Do we need a subforum in which to report 'jockers' and 'rippers' - or have I gone blind and can't see it if it already exists? :P

It would figure, that with the amount of problems we have with layouts being taken, changed, edited and redistributed, that there would be a forum in which we can all look out for each other.

We kinda did that in the skin submission forum. xP Each processed layout was reviewed there, and jockers pointed out. Unless you're talking about personal layouts?

Perhaps not a whole subforum, but maybe a topic could suffice.

No, we don't. Personally I think that if people want to jock, they're simply have no lives. -.- This topic can stay & become the jockers central if you guys want. *shrug*

Honestly, jockers aren't worth anyone's time. For every jocker you find there are probably five more you haven't found. And no matter what you do to protect your source, there's always a way to get to it.

There's also that one xanga, TheJockerWatch or something like that, that kept track of jockers.

*nods* That's true. But I've been experiencing some of the buggers recently...and perhaps a forum where we deal with these issues may act to dissuade them. What you say is true, there are plenty of people who have no lives (I'm a hypocrite....I live on Xanga

); but it's fustrating when you think of how much effort has actually gone into a layout or graphics.

I don't think a forum would be possible consider the fact that br will be launching the beta soon.

If you like, just keep a list up in this topic.

I really doubt it'll dissuade them, if anything, some of them like the attention or honestly don't care how much they're flamed. And a long time ago, we used to have a forum dedicated to jockers, called the "Hall of Shame." (I think that's what it was called) It really didn't help much.

And I know how you feel, it's something that frustrates me too, but it's one of the cons that we just have to deal with.

Ehh... I agree. It doesn't help much. You can always confront and embarass them. From the way I see it, as long as they steal, they can NEVER be as good as I am, because they will eventually be notified that they have takened codes from me. I know someone that makes wonderful layouts, but have taken codes from me. Navigations, everything. Sure, I get really mad. And guess what? Even though the person was as good as I am, many people have pointed out that she stole my stuff. Of course, she can't really back up everything, because she did.

Actually, there are plenty people I know right now, that uses my codes and steals my modules without giving credits. But there's nothing I can do about it. They need a head start with codes, and they're doing fine with their layouts. But as time comes, people will confront them sooner or later. =_=

It's frustrating, really. But jockers are always jockers usually. Most of them just create an Alt, and repeat everything over again. In my opinion, a subforum won't be needed much... since sometimes people are mistakenly being called a jocker, and then other will starts to spam--- and well, yeah. And I can say, that happens a lot.

really i see no point in chasing jockers.
its not like xanga cares that ppl steal the more talented peoples work.
